Donald Duck, having a vacation on the beach, falls asleep while on a floating inflatable raft. When he wakes up, he is far away from the shore; he happens upon the boat of old whaler Moby Duck, who will only take him in if he agrees to be his ship mate for a day. They soon come across a gigantic whale that, for some unfathomable reason, moos. Moby, knowing he could sell such a rare beast to a waterzoo for a tidy sum of money, tries to catch it. However, they soon find that the mysterious creatures is hiding something…
Behind the scenesEdit
The story was the first appearance of recurring Disney character Moby Duck, and also that of his pet Porpy. First printed in March of 1967 in Donald Duck #112, it was, in spite of its historical significance, never reprinted in the United States so far.
