Casey Coot was an anthropomorphic coot/duck hybrid. He is said to be Elvira's younger brother. It is unknown whether or not he is still alive.
Description[]
Casey Coot was a gold-digger in the Klondike gold rush; there, he met, and befriended, Scrooge McDuck. However, contrary to his friend, Casey never became rich, and eventually wanted to go back to Calisota. To get the money for the trip, he sold Scrooge a piece of land inherited from his grandfather Cornelius for 200 dollars… on which Scrooge would later build his Money Bin.
According to most accounts, Casey, who was the brother of Grandma Duck, eventually married a woman named Gretchen Grebe and had two children, Cuthbert and Fanny. Another account instead holds that the brother of Grandma's who married Gretchen and fathered Cuthbert and Fanny was Humperdink, while Casey was in fact Elvira's husband and the grandfather of Donald Duck.

Casey Coot was created in 1988 by Don Rosa in Last Sled to Dawson. His contradictory roles in Duck genealogy were given in Don Rosa's Duck Family Tree and Abril's Duck Family Tree, which Rosa's (far earlier) version being usually taken to be the mainstream one.
