Mother Goose was an anthropomorphic goose.
The long-lived, British-born Mother Goose was the grandmother of Ludwig von Drake. Having a peculiar way with words, Mother Goose created numerous nursery rhymes (loosely based on historical events) that are still known throughout the English-speaking word today. Mother Goose lived long enough to help raise young Ludwig, who even has a painting of himself on Mother Goose's knees.
Behind the scenesEdit
This Disney version of Mother Goose first appeared in 1954 on the cover of a book of nursery rhymes. She was not tied to the Duck genealogy until 1963 and the TV special The Truth about Mother Goose, where Ludwig von Drake revealed her to be his grandmother.
