Head Canon is an unofficial comic story written and drawn by Sarah Jolley based on an idea by an anonymous fan, set in the 2017 Continuum. It features Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Webby, Lena De Spell and Gladstone Gander. Launchpad McQuack is featured offscreen.
Plot[]
After a whole day of trying, Donald Duck finally manages to get Gladstone Gander splashed… destroying all the makeup Gladstone so carefully maintains and exposing his natural appearance, of which he is, oddly enough, ashamed. Lena De Spell sets out convincing him that he really shouldn't be.
Behind the scenes[]
This story is one of a series of unofficial homages to the characters written and drawn by Sarah Jolley (author of the acclaimed comic The Property of Hate). It was released in 2018 for free on the Internet.
It is set in the DuckTales 2017 continuity, and was created at the request of numerous fans who preferred Jolley's redesign of Gladstone over his canon design, and wanted a "canon" explanation of how Gladstone might go from one to the other.
